2019 Goals-in-Progress

Also known as, “I Didn’t Post my Goals in January, so Here They Are Now!”

I was thinking about posting my 2019 goals at the start of the year, but then time flew, so I decided to make a late post where I show you my goals and where I’m at with them so far!

My method was inspired a lot by Hannah, from The Striped Plaid. She made a very helpful post with ideas for making and achieving your goals. You can check it out here!

My goal method included listing out the things I wanted to accomplish, and then placing them into a quarterly plan.

Let’s begin! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Memorize a Psalm a Month
  2. Go to University (What?!)
  3. Start/Continue Personal Blog
  4. Start a New Etsy Shop
  5. Keep a Clean(er) Room
  6. Practice ASL Every Day

Next, I took these goals and organized them by what I want to accomplish each quarter. I think this helped me a lot so that I could visualize when I would actually accomplish my goals, and how soon I should start.

I’ve put them into an excel spreadsheet for you all ๐Ÿ™‚ …

So how have I done so far?

It’s only about a month into the year, so here is my progress so far.

Memorize a Psalm a Month

Psalm_1

So far I have somewhat kept up on this. Of course, it’s only February! I was off to a good start, but then lagged behind, so I just finished memorizing Psalm 1, and now have to start Psalm 2 (and maintain Psalm 1! ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Go to University

This is planned for the fall… so there’s not much to say about it now.

I put this goal in the second quarter, but was already motivated in this quarter, so as you can see, here I am!!

Start a New Etsy Shop

Yes, I’m planning to start a new Etsy shop! I currently have Gracie’s Doll World, but haven’t been dedicated and plan to possibly close it down and replace it with my new one.

I have begun building the stock (a little), so I guess this goal is pretty much on track. ๐Ÿ™‚ Stay tuned!

Keep a Clean(er) Room

Oh dear.

Practice ASL Every Day\

ASL1

I’ve taken two ASL classes, and plan to take more at university. I need to work on what I’ve already learned so I don’t forget it and am prepared!

This quarter’s goal is to practice in my free time (I want to gradually increase my frequency). I have tried to practice (mostly by watching videos in ASL), so I guess I’m pretty much on track, though I still need more practice!

So there is an overview of my 2019 goals and progress! I hope that I can continue to accomplish these as the year goes on!

How are your goals for the year going so far? Are you curious about my new Etsy shop? Is anyone else learning ASL?

  1. Hello Gracie!
You have such a lovely blog!
I think it is so cool you are learning ASL. How much do you already know? I’ve learned a tad, but am hoping to become more fluent this summer!

    1. Thank you, Saege!
I think I would know enough for some basic communication with a deaf person. It’s been a while since I’ve talked with someone who’s deaf or been in a class, though, so it’s hard to be sure where I’m at ๐Ÿ˜‰ . That’s really neat that you are learning! Have fun working on it!
      Thanks for commenting!
